Sony has announced that a new PlayStation State of Play presentation is coming on August 6 at 4:00 p.m. ET. If you're hoping for some major PS5 news however, temper your expectations. The State of Play announcement specifies that there won't be any PlayStation Studios news — so we won't be seeing anything that Sony Worldwide Studios is working on.

There also won't be any news regarding PS5 preorders, pricing or release dates. Instead, this showcase will feature primarily feature news on upcoming PS4 and PSVR titles. There will also be a few updates on third-party and indie PSVR games, meaning we could see new trailers or gameplay footage for titles like Resident Evil Village. Maybe we'll even see the next Call of Duty game finally revealed.

The showcase will be around 40 minutes long. According to PlayStation Blog Japan, one of the games featured will be Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. We'll be sure to cover the presentation and any announcements made.
