What you need to know
- Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is one of two new PS5 games recently announced by Insomniac Games.

During a recent PlayStation 5 event, The Future of Gaming, Insomniac Games showed up in force, presenting two different games with Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. The latter of these two appears to be a direct sequel to the 2016 game.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart appears to be taking full advantage of the PS5's hardware, using the advanced SSD to rapidly swap between worlds and dimensions. Clank even has ray-traced reflections! You can take a look at some detailed screenshots below:
Right now, like most PS5 exclusives, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart does not have a release date or expected release window. The PS5 is currently scheduled to arrive at some point in Holiday 2020.
In the meanwhile, if you haven't played the 2016 game yet, you might want to give that a shot.
