What you need to know
- The first real-world images of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Watch 3 have surfaced.
- The images reveal a physical rotating bezel and two physical buttons on the right side.
- Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 3 alongside the Galaxy Buds Live in July.
Support pages for Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Watch 3 went live earlier this month, hinting at an imminent launch. Yesterday, key specs of the smartwatch surfaced online, courtesy of XDA's Max Weinbach. The very first real-world images showing the Galaxy Watch 3 have now appeared online, revealing a design that looks fairly similar to its predecessor.
The images have been published by South Korea's NRRA certification body and were first spotted by the folks at MySmartPrice. Like the original Galaxy Watch, which was released in 2018, the Galaxy Watch 3 has a physical rotating bezel. Unsurprisingly, however, the bezels appear to be a lot thinner. We also see two physical buttons on the right side of the Galaxy Watch 3.
The upcoming smartwatch is expected to be available in two sizes – 45mm and 41mm. While the 45mm version is said to feature a 1.4-inch display, the smaller Galaxy Watch 3 might arrive with a 1.2-inch display. In terms of specs, Samsung's upcoming smartwatch is tipped to include 1GB of RAM, 8GB storage, 5ATM water resistance, and MIL-STD-810G compliance. The smaller model is expected to have a 247mAh battery, while the larger model could pack a 340mAh battery.
Samsung is rumored to unveil the Galaxy Watch 3 and the bean-shaped Galaxy Buds Live true wireless earbuds sometime next month, ahead of the company's big Unpacked event in August.
