One of the biggest perks of having a PlayStation Plus membership is the free games you get every month. They are always hand-picked by a team of experts that know what you'll want to play. The games PlayStation is offering this month include a popular AAA title and a difficult indie puzzler. Check out the list below, start downloading these games, and enjoy them for the month of May.

Overcooked

Overcooked is one of the best co-op games out there right now. It doesn't matter if you're playing with friends or family, you'll always have a chaotic blast when you boot it up. There are only three buttons to remember for controls, but a whole crap ton of orders that needs to get done. Race against the clock (and the flying spaghetti monster) to get meals out in time, and don't forget to wash your dishes!

Horror Suspense

What Remains of Edith Finch

They say the power of belief is an extraordinary thing and the Finch family are not exceptions to this rule. Every single generation, dating back to the 1900s, lived and died through some form of a tragedy. Edith's Mother has kept these stories secret from her daughter, but now that she's the last remaining family member she's set out on a goal to learn about her ancestors. Walk with Edith as she steps into the shoes of her loved ones and experience the horror for yourself.

Which is your favorite game you've gotten for free with PlayStation Plus?

As someone who owns Overcooked on the Nintendo Switch, I'm more than ready to download it to my PlayStation 4 because DualShock controllers are much more comfortable to play with. Outside of silly adventures in the kitchen, I'm actually pretty excited to try What Remains of Edith Finch as well. Not only does it look like it comes with a promising story, but horror and suspense games will always hold a special place in my heart.

Pretty interesting how both of our PlayStation Plus games this month are stark opposites of each other, eh?

I love my PlayStation Plus account because it gives me a reason to play the games I wouldn't play without the incentive this membership provides. There have been many months where I was able to play a game full of nostalgia that I would have never thought to download otherwise. Let us know which game you've loved and which one you're excited about this month! Shoot us a Tweet over at @AndroidCentral and tell us all about it!

Why stop at Plus?

ASTRO Gaming A10 Headset

$60 at Amazon

ASTRO's entry-level wired headset is one of its most compelling. Made from "damage resistant polycarbonate," the A10 should be able to take a beating in your gaming bag. You're not getting much in the way of fancy features, but you do get a solid, well-made, great-sounding headset with an inline volume remote so you never need to take your eye off the game.

Avolusion 1TB USB 3.0 Portable External PS4 Hard Drive

$48 at Amazon

This external hard drive is compatible with the PlayStation 4, connects via a 3.0 USB port, and has 1TB of memory. It comes with a two-year warranty, so you're covered in case there are any issues.

Nyko Smart Clip

$14 at Amazon

Nyko's smart clip attaches easily to your phone without getting in the way of your lightbar, buttons, or the touchpad. It also avoids all of the ports on your DualShock 4 controller so that you can easily plug in to charge without any hassle.
