Time to make a good system even better.

It's time to take your Ring Alarm system and make it even more powerful, making your home even more secure. Ring announced several new accessories at CES 2019 that will protect you not just from security threats but from property damage and other life-threatening situations. The new Ring Alarm sensors, like the $35 Smoke & CO Listener will be able to monitor for smoke, carbon monoxide, flooding, freezing temperatures, and intruders.

You'll also soon be able to invest in new Ring smart locks. Ring has partnered with well-known smart lock manufacturers like Kwikset, Schlage, and Yale, which is owned by the same company that owns the super popular August smart locks. The plan is to build locks and sensors that connect to the Ring Alarm ecosystem and integrate with other Ring devices through the Ring app.

In addition to the Smoke & CO Listener mentioned above, there are a few other sensors already available at Ring.com, including the $35 Flood & Freeze Sensor, the $30 Dome Siren that helps notify you of security alerts no matter where you are in the house, and the $40 First Alert Z-Wave Smoke/CO Alarm.

The smart locks will be available on Ring.com soon as well. New features will be added over time. One such feature will include the ability to disarm your Ring Alarm system at the same time you unlock the door. Later this year, Ring also plans to add the August Smart Lock Pro to the list of compatible devices.

Just to be clear, these sensors and smart locks will require the Ring Alarm security system because they all connect to the Ring Alarm Base Station. So you'll want to start there. Add an Amazon Alexa-enabled device to your setup and you can use the voice commands to disable the Alarm and lock or unlock doors. The sensors and locks will integrate with other Ring devices, like the new Ring Door View Cam and Ring's Smart Lighting system so that they all work together to keep your home the most secure it has ever been.
