Microsoft announces the experimental release of Robot OS (operating system) for Windows 10 users. This OS will be packed with tons of features like Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud services and computer vision as well.
According to Microsoft’s Blog on late Friday. This development will bring the manageability and security of ‘Windows 10 Internet of Things (IoT) Enterprise’ solutions to the ‘ROS’ ecosystem as well.
Talking about ROS. It’s an assemblage of tools and libraries which is utilized and applied to build complex robots. Windows 10 IOT enterprise helps in producing enterprise manageability and security solutions in context to industry based IoT devices, which are used in manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and of course other industries.
If you don’t know then windows is the trusted partner of robotics and industrial systems for decades.’Lou Amadio’ Principal Software Engineer also added we’re looking forward to bringing the intelligent edge to robotics by bringing more advanced features.
With the advancement of Robots, Microsoft also plans to research into advanced development tools.
