Coming to the Android and iOS apps this week.
If you're like me, you Google Maps is your go-to app for finding new restaurants to check out. The clean interface and wealth of information make it a joy to use, but if you're trying to plan a night out with a group of people, deciding where to go can prove to be a chore.
That's where Maps' new group planning tool comes into play.
When you're looking for places to go, long-press on an option and you'll now be able to drag it into a shortlist on the right side of the app. After building up your list a bit, you can tap on it to share with your friends. From there, each member viewing the list can vote up or down on the place they want to go to.
Group planning is rolling out to the Google Maps app this week for both Android and iOS. Be sure to give it a look!
